The reviews written helped me choose this radio for my husband and everything they said was true. This product is the best we have found for its type. It sounds great, pulls in stations usually difficult to get extremely clear and is worth the extra money.
Excellent shower radio, easy to use, sound is nice and clear, it's held up for about 3 months now without any problems, let's hope it lasts a good long time.
The radio sounds great, is very easy to use, has the best reception of any shower radio I have used.Other strengths are it is easy on batteries and is also water proof, which has been tested. I'm now on my second radio, the first one quit picking up stations after less than one week of use but with the great customer service of Amazon I had a replacement radio within three days and haven't had any problems since. The only reason I haven't given it five stars is I haven't had it long enough to test it's longevity as the first one broke quickly.
Highly recommended. Although about $40 more expensive, the Sangean radio well worth it.The built-in handle makes it easy to use, the tuner display is easy to read, and the tuner itself picks up many more stations than the Sony, with lower noise and better sound quality. The Sangean is a much superior radio. It won't win any design awards or jazz up the look of your shower, but the performance is much better than I expected. This shower radio replaced a Sony ICFS79W, which failed after several years of daily use. (The ON/Off button became intermittent, then stopped working altogether). My only knock on the product is that the styling makes it look old and low-tech.
